About the Role

The Senior Manager – Production will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations across Pitambari’s cleaning solutions and detergent production category. This role is responsible for driving OTIF delivery, improving OEE, implementing automation and continuous improvement systems, ensuring cost-competitive manufacturing, and maintaining world-class standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in detergent or home-cleaning solution manufacturing, hands-on understanding of plant maintenance, and the ability to manage multi-plant operations. The role also requires flexibility to travel to Pitambari’s plant locations in Gujarat and Rajasthan as per business needs. The position demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and manufacturing excellence to build future-ready, efficient, and compliant production units.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) FG supplies across all manufacturing units.
  • Achieve and maintain industry-standard OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Oversee production planning in alignment with the sales plan and market forecasts.
  • Manage daily production operations to ensure optimal productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement systems such as 5S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing & IoT technologies.

Projects, Automation & Plant Upgradation

  • Drive automation and modernization projects for new and existing manufacturing units.
  • Lead solarisation initiatives to make plants energy-efficient and future-ready.
  • Prepare and manage annual capex and operational budgets.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Strengthen quality improvement systems across all plants.
  • Ensure adherence to the highest safety and hygiene standards.
  • Drive Health & Safety initiatives towards a zero-harm culture.
  • Ensure all customer-required certifications & compliance (BIS, ISO, Organic, etc.) are in place.

People & Inventory Management

  • Manage manpower, including permanent staff and contract labor.
  • Oversee inventory control to ensure efficient stock management and minimal wastage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth production workflow.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7–15 years of work experience in FMCG (non-food) production categories such as detergents, home care, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of production systems, automation, and plant maintenance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of maintenance processes is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills; knowledge of Marathi is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to plant locations in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
