Role Overview

Krishaangi Agro Foods is seeking a highly experienced Production Manager – Sauces & Chutneys to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations.
The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless production planning, efficiency across processes, adherence to food safety standards, and the delivery of high-quality products within timelines.

This role is critical in supporting Krishaangi’s expansion and strengthening operational excellence across its sauces and chutneys vertical.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Operations Management

Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules in line with demand forecasts. Oversee the entire production lifecycle—from raw material receipt to processing, filling, packaging, and dispatch.
Monitor production output and optimize resource allocation to meet targets and timelines. Ensure adherence to food safety norms, quality standards, and hygiene protocols across all stages.

2. Team Leadership & Performance Management

Lead, train, and supervise a team of supervisors, operators, and production staff across multiple shifts. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement. Set clear KPIs and conduct periodic performance reviews to strengthen team capability.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Coordination

Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure smooth equipment functioning and minimal downtime. Plan preventive maintenance schedules and promptly escalate machinery issues. Ensure safe and efficient handling of manufacturing equipment.

4. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, and other process optimization initiatives. Drive improvements in yield, wastage reduction, operational efficiency, and product consistency. Ensure all operations comply with FSSAI and relevant food safety standards. Maintain detailed production reports and share regular updates with senior management.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Liaise with Procurement, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure seamless coordination. Support new product trials, scale-ups, and process standardization for upcoming launches. Ensure alignment between production output and market demand.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of proven experience in large-scale food manufacturing, preferably in sauces, chutneys, condiments, or processed foods.
• Strong understanding of food processing operations, machinery, hygiene protocols, and safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate production teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
• Deep commitment to maintaining product quality, consistency, and operational discipline.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
• Strong reporting, communication, and coordination abilities.
