Role Overview

Krishaangi Agro Foods seeks a highly experienced Factory Manager to lead the end-to-end management of its sauces and chutneys manufacturing plant.
This role is responsible for driving daily factory operations, production planning, quality adherence, safety compliance, and team leadership β€” ensuring that output meets both customer expectations and internal quality standards.

The Factory Manager will play a pivotal role in operational excellence, cost optimization, and scaling manufacturing capabilities as the Hop Hop brand continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

Plan and manage daily factory operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and delivery timelines. Optimize production efficiency, reduce wastage, and continuously enhance throughput. Align manpower, machinery, and material availability to meet customer and business requirements.

2. Quality Control & Food Safety

Establish and enforce stringent quality-control standards specific to sauces and chutneys. Collaborate closely with the Quality Control team to ensure all finished goods meet HACCP, GMP, ISO, and relevant regulatory standards. Drive a culture of uncompromised product quality and hygiene across production lines.

3. Operations Oversight

Monitor end-to-end factory activities and address operational bottlenecks proactively. Implement production strategies to maximize efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, batch documentation, and audit requirements.

4. Team Leadership & People Management

Lead a team of production supervisors, operators, and floor personnel across shifts. Provide training, guidance, and performance management to strengthen workforce capability. Build a disciplined, collaborative, and safe work environment.

5. Safety & Compliance

Implement and enforce safety procedures in alignment with applicable industrial and food safety regulations (including OSHA-equivalent guidelines). Drive strong adherence to workplace safety, hygiene protocols, and statutory norms. Conduct periodic safety audits and address gaps promptly.

6. Maintenance & Equipment Management

Oversee preventive and routine maintenance for all production machinery. Ensure minimal downtime by coordinating closely with the maintenance team. Implement equipment operating procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.

7. Inventory, Materials & Cost Management

Analyze raw material requirements and forecast procurement needs based on production plans. Ensure strong control over inventory, minimize wastage, and maintain accurate stock records. Monitor production costs and ensure operational efficiency within budgeted parameters.

8. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and operational dashboards to senior management. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and other efficiency-enhancing initiatives. Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the factory workforce.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in FMCG or food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial or factory leadership role.
  • Deep technical understanding of food processing machinery, sauce & chutney manufacturing, and food safety compliance (HACCP, GMPs, ISO).
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to manage large teams and multi-shift operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured, process-driven working style.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and factory management software is preferred.
